Field Service Engineer - Microsoft / Windows - Chester - £22k

An experienced field service engineer, with knowledge of Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory, is required by a expanding IT business based near Chester. A salary of up to £22k plus Van is offered, with overtime paid when required.

--- THE ROLE ---
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced field service engineer who will have knowledge of the following:
- Microsoft Server Technologies ( 2003 / 2008 / SBS 2003-2011), Microsoft Exchange (2003 – 2010) and Active Directory and Group Policy Implementation
- DNS and IIS Configuration and POP, IMAP and SMTP Mail
- Networking Hardware ( Routers , VLan, L2 Switching, Load Balancing, ADSL ) and Wireless Networking
- RDP / Remote Access
- VPN ( IPSec / PPTP )
- Windows XP – Windows 7
- Server Hardware ( Fujitsu / HP Preferred )
- RAID Configuration and tuning Server Migration (refresh)
- Any knowledge of VMWare ESXi / Hyper-V is highly desirable

--- DUTIES ---
- To provide technical support and consultancy either over the phone or directly onsite with the client.
- To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles.
- To consult on infrastructure problems and provide suitable networking solutions.
- To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.
- To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation. Maintain a log of any software or hardware problems detected.
- Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve and hardware or software problems.
-To resolve all IT issues with a professional and allocate more complex service issues to the relevant IT Support member.

Field based with the majority of clients being within an hour of Chester

Up to £22k plus overtime and van.
