An IT Systems Manager with strong Windows networking skills and knowledge of SQL Server is required by an International Engineering company based near Maidenhead, Berkshire. A salary of £42,000 basic plus benefits is offered. 

The successful candidate will take sole responsibility for technical support and improvement of company systems, including IT Infrastructure and systems security as well as business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Working alongside the Group IT Manager you will manage 3rd party liaison and software and hardware procurement as well as licensing, maintenance and company wide IT procedures.

Applicants must have strong knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and Active Directory as well as strong SQL Server. Knowledge of Lotus Notes is highly desirable as is experience training users. 

Strong network security and firewall experience (McAfee) as well as good general TCP/IP networking skills are essential. You will take responsibility for the IP Telephone Systems, all office networking including switches and routers.

You should have strong PC support with Windows XP and Vista experience as well as hardware peripherals including blackberry, laptops and printers. You will support external members of staff via VPN.
