Senior Linux Systems Administrator - Hosting / XEN
Location – Near Stevenage – Hertfordshire / Bedfordshire
Salary – to £40,000 + Benefits

A Senior Linux Administrator is required by an expanding IT solutions provider based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, Candidates can expect a salary of up to £40,000.

--- Key skills ---
Working knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies and processes using Xen.
Networking configuration and security: routing, VLANs, port filtering, firewall configuration, dual-homed systems, VPN etc.
Network troubleshooting skills
Proven track record in researching unfamiliar subjects and applying new concepts to meet project requirements
Knowledge of Linux based hosting systems.
Knowledge of data centre processes and procedures.
Good analytical thinking and problem solving skills
Able to communication ideas effectively to a technical as well as non technical audience
Driven, motivated individual who naturally takes initiative, finds solutions, and makes things happen

---Responsibilities ---
- To work in a team developing and improving infrastructure systems and processes, including network administration, security, tool development, monitoring etc.
- To work alongside the development team to deliver solutions to customers within our hosting infrastructure.
- To provide support for internal services as well as customer systems.
