.NET Developer – Learn WPF, WCF, Silverlight - Chelmsford / Essex - £40k

A Senior .NET Developer with a strong background in database design is required by our client based in Chelmsford / Essex. You will join a successful organisation within the financial sector, where you will join a small team of experienced developers working in a fast paced environment.

You will develop and support multi-tier ASP.NET and winforms applications which front SQL Server 2008 databases. You will also assist the development of next generation tools using the latest technologies (WPF, WCF, Silverlight etc)

--- Key areas of responsibility ---
- Design/re-design databases for data mining projects
- Modify/enhance existing code in SQL Server databases - views / functions / procedures
- Design/edit user interfaces using .NET technologies
- Importing data from disparate databases into SQL Server databases or MS Access databases
- Data mining and producing summary statistics of SQL Server data
- Producing reports for non-technical end users in user-friendly formats (Adobe, Excel etc.)
- Document and audit procedures for life cycle of data analysis (from collecting data, normalizing data, importing data and summarizing data)

--- Requirements ---

- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server.

- Proven experience in .NET technologies (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET).
- In-depth knowledge of database design and data normalization rules.
- Ability to work independently and within a small team environment.
- Capable of learning new technologies through self-study.
- Experience with source control tools.
