Network Support Engineer – VMware Cisco – Sutton, Surrey £35k

Network Support Engineer is required by a technology provider based in Sutton, Surrey. Candidates can expect a salary of up to £35,000.

Duties
- Install, configure, and support the LANs WANs and Internet systems.
- Maintain network and workstation hardware and software.
- Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
- To supervise other network support technicians and plan, co-ordinate, and implement network security measures.
- To manage performance tuning and capacity planning activities to enhance the performance of the network resources.

--- Technologies ---
- Commercial experience of supporting Windows XP and Vista along with 2003 / 2008 Server. (MCSE required)
- Knowledge of Cisco and CCNA qualified.
- Considerable network system design and development methods and techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of computer network system protocols.
- Considerable knowledge of capabilities, utilization, and limitations of data processing equipment.
- VMWare (or virtualization in general) – Managing and converting virtual servers (VCP qualification ideal)
