Sybase DBA / Sybase Administrator with knowledge of Solaris / Linux, Soltice disksuite, Sybase ASE version 12.5.x - 15.x, Sybase Replication Server version 12.6 and Shell Scripting knowledge required by our Client based in Central London near Canary Wharf. Salary to £40,000 + Benefits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working in their web infrastructure team supporting a high traffic production environment.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Assist in planning and implementing application upgrades
Assist the development and testing teams in the rollout of projects
Assist in all aspects of the operating system maintenance and configuration
Provide day to day support to both production and development environments
Installation of Sybase ASE standalone and cluster edition, Sybase Replication Server

This role is ideally suited to a candidate with around 2 years experience working with Sybase ASE administration, Solaris and Disksuite within a high traffic production environment.

Candidates with experience of working within an online gaming / publishing environment are also highly desirable.
