Helpdesk Support Analyst (1st line) , Woking , Surrey - £17k 

Helpdesk Support Analyst is required by an IT solutions provider based in Woking to work on in their Data centre. Candidates can expect a salary of up to £17,000. 

---The role--- 
The candidate will be based in the Woking office to provide support for clients hosted in the Datacenter as well as clients hosted globally. The role will be on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with some night shift work.

--- Duties --- 
- Carry out customer requests such as server reboots, tape changes, hardware upgrades. 
- Perform server & network equipment installs. 
- Carry out cable management and labelling (including running new cable runs &fitting cross connects). 
- Install racks and cabinets to house customer’s network & server equipment. 
- Monitor and properly address facility alarms such as: equipment alarms, overheating, circuit overloads, etc.

---Key skills --- 
- A self-motivated, professional, reliable individual who works well with customers and their contractors, with minimal supervision. 
- Good general PC, windows, office app & Keyboard skills. 
- Basic knowledge of networks and Internet protocols such as TCP/IP, FTP, HTTP, POP and SMTP. 
- MCP or other IT qualifications would be beneficial.

Hours – 12 hour shifts (8 to 8) based on 4 days on / 4 days off.
